X-Ray
A radiograph, also called as X-ray, is an imaging procedure where the images are taken using invisible beams of radiation. The technology creates a picture on a film based on the densities of the body’s structures. Using X-rays, radiologists create 2-D images of bones, lungs and other human organs that are useful in diagnosing conditions such as broken or fractured bones, bowel obstruction, arthritis, pneumonia, etc.
The process of taking X-ray images involves using invisible radiation beans that pass through the human body and organs. Bones contain calcium, which absorbs X-rays, so these show up as white on the image.
